the silly things kids say...

So I am playing a game with Gabe asking him what does a dog say... etc... well I thought I would trick him a little and I asked what does Granny say, "I love you" ok easy enough what does mommy say.... expecting the same answer..... NOT "stupid cars" ya I laughed hysterically, I must say that often enough that my son knows it by heart.

visiting with Santa

The pictures pretty much say it all but Gabe asked for something that I didn't understand and then talked about Rudolph... Which by the way we have to look for EVERY NIGHT (Thank you Aunt Tracie... now come down here and make him show up... lol I love you, you had such a great idea. He's totally excited for Christmas because of that)

Vince on the other hand didn't ask for much... something like a bottle I think is what he asked for... He got his gift early...

sitting up is fun to do!

These are some random photos but I couldn't help but put them up! We were playing with Vincent's new present that I am going to re-wrap for Christmas.... because I wanted to use it now... BIG HIT at my house keeps Vince and Gabe happy except when they both want to use it... Taking turns is a hard thing to do! But we love our bumbo and wouldn't trade it for anything!
Vince tries to sit up now when I have him on my lap it is so funny, he just loves to sit in it he will just squill and smile and laugh when he is in it. So for anyone looking for a really GREAT gift for a non sitter.... this is the item! I started putting Vince in it at two months and he's done great!

We had so much fun staying with my parents... I have some really fun ones of Seth and I but I will post those later. Vince stayed with Granny and got some great one on one with her which was nice because trying to keep Gabe handled while touring the Strip is a FULL TIME job. We had a great time though.

the big number 3 holy cow!

The Three Candles....

it is so HARD to believe that Gabe is 3 up until then I still figured him as my baby.... but he is definitely my big boy... We had so much fun, all of his friends came and we had a Transformer party. Gabe LOVED it and enjoyed having friends to play with! Gabe had a great time wacking the heck out of the pinata, I ended up having to break it though.... they need to make those easier... I even had a hard time!

I forgot to add Gabe's actual Birthday so I am putting it on the same post! Since Gabe's birthday is durning the thanksgiving holiday we had his friend party early. We came home on Saturday so I could get a cake done for his actual birthday, I wanted him to have a special day.... SO we invited Seth's family over for dinner and cake and celebrated Gabe's big number 3 Party!
Since we did transformers for his friend party, we figured he could choose what other thing he might want to do. So I took him to walmart to choose a cake.... He chose Mickey Mouse... I looked at the cake took a picture of it with my phone. Because Seth is allergic I had to make one....... SO Here is my master piece

Halloween! lol FOREVER A GO!

Halloween: Peter Pan (Gabe) John (Seth) Wendy (Lyns) and Peter Pan's Shadow (Vince)

No sucking.......

I had to write this down... and since quite often I use this blog as my journal I am putting it down.

Lately Gabe has always wanted to stay home. Today being sat. Seth and I were trying to figure out what to do, I told Seth no matter what we chose Gabe wouldn't want to go. He said I bet if you ask him if he wants to go to Grandma's house he'd say yes. I bet him that Gabe wouldn't because when I had asked earlier Gabe said no.... So I asked Gabe "do you want to go to Grandma's house?" His response was "no, not yet" so Seth jumped in and said "do you want to go in five min?" and Gabe say "uh-huh Ya!" So I responded in rebuttal to loosing the bet "you suck" and with out missing a beat Gabe respond "no, no sucking."

Seth and I both started laughing, it was perfect timing. So Gabe continued to repeat it because it got such a laugh out of us the first time.

My Boys

It's so crazy to think I have 2 kids! Gabe has been so amazing with Vincent, he acts as if he's been here all along. Seth has been such a relief to have home and I seriously wonder how I will do it without him! I am truly blessed though.... Vincent is very quiet most of the time and Gabe has adjusted very well to having mommy constantly doing something.
Gabe was so excited to see my tummy.... he looked at it and said "no Vincent?" I said "yep Vincent isn't in mommy's tummy anymore." "oh" he said and then proceeded to jump as high and as hard as he could on my tummy!
When we first brought Vince home, we had hand sanitizer in our main room so that we can keep as many germs as we can away from Vince.... I hate sick babies, Anyway Gabe would run over put some on his hands and run over to Vince and say "touch Vince mommy" and we would touch his head with one finger and then run over and get more sanitizer and do the same thing over again..... he and Vince were covered by the time he was done but hey at least his hands were clean!
We also went to our follow up visit with our pediatrician yesterday. Vincent did GREAT, when we left the hospital his weight was 6lbs 7 oz and yesterday almost a week from his birth he weighed 7lbs 4 oz. Needless to say my boy puts it on and I am so proud.... He definitely is a great eater, in fact he would eat all the time if I would let him. It's kind of weird having a kid who likes to eat and is very quiet.... I still wonder how he happen to come to my family.... but however that worked out I am SO glad he is here and how perfect he really fits into our family!

Our day at the Jon Schmidt Concert

Seth and I have this tradition where we celebrate EVERYTHING! This was one of our more special days since it was the day Seth proposed to me... So a little back story so you understand, Our first date was to a Jon Schmidt concert at UVSC now UVU but at the time it was still a state college. Seth finally proposed on Sept. 8th and so this year Jon Schmidt put out a new song that I fell in love with, I had it posted on here a while back but anyway he was debuting this new song and his new album on the 5th SO for our celebration we went to his concert at Thanksgiving Point, IT WAS AMAZING! By the time it was over I was so swollen and sore but it was worth it, he is an amazing artist, I of course waited to get him to sign my copy of his CD... and listen to the CD all the time.
But I am so glad that we were able to have a little time together before the baby get's here and to reminisce a little of the olden' days!

Falling behind... again!

We'll start more recent and move backwards! I am not sure how many of you got the opportunity to see the temple dedication. We were lucky enough to be able to attend the Sunday 3:00 session, as a couple! It was my first time being able to experience that, and I must say defiantly on my most spiritual list. The room was filled with the spirit and I am so grateful to have that opportunity. The Prophet talked about having photos of the temple in our homes and I thought, I have traveled all around the state of Utah and have TONS of temple photos... NONE hanging up in my home, due more to laziness than anything. My son however keeps the temple in constant thought. The other night Gabe woke up at 1-2AM and wouldn't go back to sleep so I sang to him while we laid down "Horsey Horsey" and "White Sheep" where favorites but to my astonishment "the temple song" was a must have... I knew then I really needed to get with it and put up some pictures Gabe loves the St. George temple (no doubt because of the name) but since I can't travel down there I thought hey why not get some of him in front of the temple our family was sealed in.... while we pass the temple a lot and Gabe SCREAMS "look at the temple" we haven't ever really walked around and just enjoyed it. So this last Monday we went for FHE. Gabe LOVED is of course! And here is his picture in front of it. I know my son must be really excited to hold still and pose for a picture!

Gabe loves sports and especially loves playing outside, he was going through our sport box and found Seth's mit as well as mine and wanted to play so here is a picture of him playing. He had a hard time catching because the mit was HUGE but he caught a few and was so proud. He has an amazing throw! I got hit a LOT and proof!

This is Seth and Gabe building their SANDBOX together... tools and everything. They had a blast Gabe knows how to run a real drill.... not sure how excited I am about it but he can most defiantly run it! So happy to say we have a HUGE sandbox and it is a favorite at our house since it is in the shade and heck what boy wouldn't like getting dirt EVERYWHERE!

Oh Camping! Since I am a party pooper and will NOT actually camp, being 8 months prego at the time I didn't want to be more than a couple of feet from a bathroom. We camped in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard! Gabe loved it of course, who wouldn't a big tent and sleeping bag outside under the stars on the GROUND.... oh wait I was on a mattress! It was a lot of fun though Gabe really enjoyed it and to top it all off we woke up to HOTAIR BALLOONS going over our heads, it was really cool. We went and watched them land across the street and Gabe was mystified he didn't know what to do he was so excited! It was defiantly a memorable camping trip.
